Subject: 52mm vs. Mopar 4 Barrel IP: Logged
Message: I trying to figure out which one will flow better for my engine and give me the best performance. Right now I am running a '92 Dak 5.2 with the following mods:
ram air intake
custom pcm
m-1 intake w/billet fuel rails, 19 lb injectors
comp cam
mopar r/t heads w/2.02, 1.625 valves
underdriven pulleys
crower 1.7 rockers
52mm TB
holley ignition
venom no2 kit
(lots and lots of machine work)
I'm trying to squeeze every bit of power from this truck without supercharging. Does anyone out there know if the mopar 4bbl throttle body outflows the 52mm's? Anyone tried the 4bbl? Thanks

Message: The F&B 52mm TB flows 860 CFM @ 25"Hg, I think the 4bbl TB flows like 1100 or 1300 cfm. Way too much for your 5.2. The only person I know running the 4bbl TB is a built 408 motor (running 13.2's NA in a 2000 R/T CC). The 4bbl also requires a custom linkage because it is not progressive. If you think you need more than the 52mm, contact Bruce at F&B because he is now making 55mm oval TB's for stroker applications.
