Subject: stock 1/4 mile time, 0-60 on a 5.2 4x4? IP: Logged
Message: Whats up everyone....hope things are going well with everyone. Anyway, im thinking about going performance with my truck, not sure yet.....i just keep thinking, why do this to a truck? I have an auto 4x4 5.2 ext cab v8 and was wondering what everyones quarter mile time is and 0-60 time. I was trying to look this stuff up and couldnt find it. Also, i want to start light with a k&n intake and gibson dual exhaust combo...and was wondering just how much of a difference this would make. Thanks for your time!

Message: Well first off. From what I have heard, the dual exhaust system actually gives you a loss in HP. But I may be wrong; and anyone can correct me if I am wrong. But I do believe this is true.
As for 1/4 and 0-60 times on my truck. I can't tell you, because it is still basically stock.

Message: Can't help you the times, but on the dual gibson, if you have a 31 inch spare you won't get it back under the truck after you put that exhaust on. Unfortunatley my baseline dyno run was after an AirAid and the gibson duals so I can't help you there either. After an intake and exhaust you will be looking at about 175 rwhp.
