it is possible and has been done manny a times in gen 1 and gen 2 need to fab a pan or get it from shumacker youll need a trans mission that will hold up 727 or904 tqflite have a drive shaft made and find a 8 3/4 diff and a pinion snubber if you want overdrive gearvendors.com so you can stay streatable even with 4.11s the snubber will help prevent pinion walk and help with tractiondrop springs up front will help cornering along with a drop in back tub the rear weld in a roll cage and get ready for the ride of your life.

As mentioned already, the kits are available for engine mounts. JVX makes an adapter for big blocks to use a smallblock bellhousing as is used on the A-500/518. A beefed version of either will do fine. The Hemi Cudas of old had the same issue with being very nose-heavy, but even on the tires of the day (not slicks, I'm talkin' OEM) they were still low 13 sec. cars. I ain't sayin' they were easy to launch, but it could be done.

Other interesting strokes: 340 with .060 over (4.10 bore) and 4 inch stroke= 422 small block.
Pre- '76 400 taken .060 over with a MP 4.15 stroker=502....if memory serves.
WooHoo!

hell, most people still cant believe they even put small blocks in them. that's my theme for the 440 in my 95 gen2. i'm putting 92-93 style "5.2 v8" badges on it. nobody has a clue anyway. i stuck "426 hemi" emblems on my challenger once on a cruise night and it was amazing how many people were crowding around and pointing out the "awesome hemi" to their wifes and friends.
it was just a plain 440 4-bbl.
every punk in a mustang i wasted with my last gen2 5.2 dakota thought i had a big block or nitrous (or both). now it's time to really screw with their minds !!! i still have my gtx for a "real" race vehicle.

What kind of fabrication goes into putting a big block into a 92 Dakota? Or even a V-10 Viper engine in one?
