Billybob, if Nascar still ran under rules that used stock sheetmetal and body lines then the Intrepid would just be killing these guy. Nascar has to handicap the Dodge, makings have lines the factory would never even consider, just so it wouldn't destroy the competition. There was a time when you could pretty much run whatever motor you wanted as well, until it became impossible for anyone else to beat the Hemi, so they outlawed it! OK, maybe they outlawed 'opposed valve' motors but we know what they meant. Nascar has always had to do things to the Dodges and Plymouths to slow then down as the competition has never been able to come up to thier pace.

still would like to see-em win under the green so it would not be a tainted win. Hey Wayne they never took my wing from me.I got a '70 1/2 Dodge Charger Daytona with the 426 hemi in it sittin out in my "car barn" took that good ol boy up to the Detriot Woodward Ave. cruise last month and thought I was never gonna git there what with all the rubberneckers tryin to slow me down and all, all along the freeway tween here in Huntsville and Pontiac where we stayed on Friday and Saturday Night. Neat thing is my cousin helped to build that thing as he was working in the factory at the time. I bought her new and have kept it all factory best I could over the years. Any one wanna run me? I know a 2.6 mile track down here in my homestate that'll let me go out on it iffen I pay'em enough money ta cover the insurance and ambulance and drivers for the ambulance and tow truck and such.
