Message: Check out the single scoop hood at keystonerestyling.com. I have had many compliments on mine, and I love it. The functional part seems to work well too. My body guy told me it was the best glass hood he has ever worked with too. I guess most are a pain.

Message: On a 4x4 that sees action? Cowl. I'm thinking scoops will flow water and mud just like they do air. Could be ugly.

Message: Nawwww. Unless you're driving UNDER water ... and if that's the case you'd have more to worry about than your air intake.
If you were running any aftermarket performance air intake with a cone filter or whatnot under a cowl hood even and got into THAT deep of water, the water's gonna come up through the engine compartment and get at that filter.
At least with the shaker, your hood would have to be under water for that to happen! ;o)
