Subject: IAT adjuster question IP: Logged
Message: I'm little perplexed , on the directions there are 2 tables, one with Temp readings the other
has dial settings.
The dial settings are easy enough to understand
what I don't quite get is the Temp readings.
Are those actual outside ambient air temps or
"fake" air Temps that the sensor "thinks" are real?
EXAMPLE: If the actual ambient OUTSIDE air temp is say
75*F , do I set the dial in the 11 O'clock position ?
........ OR IS IT .....
if I set the dial at the 11 O'clock position then the IAT sensor will "think" its 75*F outside?
do you follow what I'm saying?

Message: If the outside temp is at 70 degrees or below, turn the box OFF and run off of the factory IAT sensor.
Rule of thumb: Set the box to 20-25 degrees cooler than the outside air temp. (Even colder if your engine likes it there.)
The dial/temperature settings are "Simulated Temp"...not actual temp.
