Powerdyne: Least Expensive and excellent results (Belt Driven impeller) - $2400-$2600
Vortech: Tried and True "Race Blower" but in the $3000-$3500 range - Uses your engines oiling system
ATI ProCharger: Expensive but comes with an intercooler and a sel-contained oiling system. Installation requires cutting into your wheel wells and fender. Intercooler sits too low on lowered vehicles. $4000 range
Paxton: Just as good as the Vortech but has had a recent QA problem. Bought out by Vortech. $3500-$3800 range
KenneBell: It's a screw-type blower (unlike the others which are centrifugal) and builds boost almost immediately. It's a "Tire Fryer" folks with gobs of power right out of the hole. Installation requires some mechanical knowledge and some issues with the "Optimizer" system. $4000-$5000 range
But wait...Powerdyne is getting ready to test its latest creation (yes...RACE BLOWER) which is almost identical to the Vortech and is rated to handle up to 20# boost! Cost: Unknown at this point...but will be more than the standard Powerdyne.

Message: This may not apply but I think the blower units are the same...I have been hearing about reliabilty problems with the Powerdynes in the mustang world. Most people (mustang people) that get them end up swapping for a vortec or an ATI at some point. For me, I'd like to go with the ATI but I saw an installation on someone's website and I didn't like how low the intercooler was hung, apparently by design. Here in Scottsdale AZ, the land of the SUV, speed bumps have taken on Himalayan proportions. Vortec would be my next wish.
