Subject: loc-tight on header bolts?
IP: Logged

Message:
Is it ok to put loc-tight on the JBA header bolts
when installing them? or would it get too hot
for the loc-tight when the truck is running?
Is there any type of liquid thread lock , like
loc-tight, that could stand the high Temps.

Message:
You won't want loc-tight on your header bolts because the headers will actually require re-tightening. They need re-tightening not because they actually come loose, but because the header gasket shrinks from the heat. Once they shrink, you need to re-tighten the bolts.
