 Subject: Is an A/c relay necessary?

As some of you might know, I've been trying for two weeks to try to find out where I need to connect my A/c relay to A/C system. I've found no place. I've emailed tech support and they don't know... So, my question is: Do i really need an A/c Relay? I have a thermostat, and i plan on setting it on the lowest setting. I like my engines running very cool. It couldn't take long before my truck reaches 160 degrees, allowing the fan to kick in.
Also, is it possible to connect the relay to the blower inside the cab? I could put a switch to disconnect it in the winter, asi wouldn't want the outside fan comming on when I had the heater on.
