I was looking to replace my plug wires and i was wondering what was the best bang for the buck? I have the 5.2 with some mods but no ignition mods. i was thinking about the 8mm taylor or 8.5msd, but would be open to sugestions.

Same here. I got the 8.5 msd's but for a ram with the 5.2 to use in my dak and used the ac delco version of the autolites and a borg/warner cap and rotor and noticed a huge diference. It might have been because a couple of my wires were arching at the boot but I still noticed a diference.

Just put Magnecor 8.5mm on my 5.2 and yes, big difference with the autolites and b/w cap and rotor..purrs like a kitty now.
www.magnecor.com the very best made, but not cheap, (racing wires were $145).

Why do all of you think so highly of autolite spark plugs? Is it all autolites or just the 3923's? I've always bought Champion Plugs for everything from my vehicles to my lawn mower. The parts store was out of Champions, so i bought autolites because they were kind of cheap and they had a two year warrenty. I haven't installed them yet. They weren't 3923's; They were the Autolite version of the Champion plug

the autolight 3923's are one heatrange colder than the stock's and they are only 99 cents each. i used to run champion plugs untill everyone told me about the autolights. i decided what the heck its only $8 for the set and im glad i did. these things rock with the msd wires. if you havent installed the other autolights yet return them and go with the 3923's.

i got my wires for a 97 ram. fits good, but some are a little long. its not too bad. as for the gap, just set them at the factory specs.
