Has anyone used the comp cams .480"-.512" camshaft? How well did it work and what springs did you use? I want more top end to my engine stocker doesn't rev worth crap.

I have a '97 5.2 4x4 RC auto, 3.55 gears LSD, K&N intake, ported and polished throttle body, 180 therm, electric fan, 3" flowmaster cat back.
Will be getting M1 manifold, MP headers and computer.

CW,
I have their 268 non-symetrical in a 74 F-100 with a 391. I used their springs, retainers, adjustable cam gears and chain. They also had high rev lifters that I used. I am very satisfied with the results. I actually set the truck up for pulling but it turned out to be pretty quick. I will say that now it will either pull any trailer or pull the tongue off of it.

I have the .480/.512 Compcams cam in my 5.2. You need to use the MP R/T valve springs and retainers, they are rated for a .525 lift and 6000 rpm.
