Anyone put a set of traction bars on their dak? Did it help in stopping the wheelhop and get a better launch off the line?

I put a cheap set on my truck and they didn't help my 60 ft. time at all. I didn't have wheel hop though. They should help stop that problem.

I have not had a problem with wheel hop or traction. I can not even get my tire to spin on dry pavement. I have the 4.7 and a LSD. When I floor it the truck just accelerate realy hard. No wheel hop or traction problems. I am not power torqueing or manualy shifting. I am just puting it in drive and flooring it.

I have Trac lock 3.92's and 5 speed and spin the tires through 2nd also but you have to really give it hard. No hopping at all however. Do you have an open diferential? That could be the problem.

I agree with Jeffster. I have the 4.7 5 speed 3.92 LS and I can break traction but I have to really try. My other truck, 4.7 auto 3.55 open, the tires are spin happy. Thats why the LS is called "limited slip" or "posi-trac".

Hmmm..have no idea on that one. I got the truck used for 12,000 and the person who owned it b4 me worked on it a little i guess. They said he had lower gears for more acceleration. Thats probly why i can run with a lot of cars.

My 2000 Dak has a list of options on the inside of the glove compartment. Check there. It may list your axle ration and if you have limited slip.
