Anyone have a clue as to why SSBrakes are more expensive for their rotors than the Powerslots?

No idea at all. I want powerslots for the front, (where do you get these?), but may replace my drums on the back with their disc brake conversion.

The powerslots were a group buy and you can get them at truckperformance.com. Im tempted to see if they will give me the group buy price or if we need to get some people together. I might call and ask but i dont know how to head a group buy and what is involved.

Erin, if you want to call, ask them if they will give you a discount for TWO pair, I will buy one at the same time as you if they will give us the discount..maybe that will help.

I called and he said he would do it if we get 5 orders together. $79 a rotor which is what i believe the first GB went for. So if your interested only 3 more to go.

No, just oil right now! I have 2 1/2 gallons of AMSOIL ATF in the garage. Still bouncing the idea around of changing it.

Has anyone done the SS Brake's rear disc brake conversion on thier 4wd Dakota. I want to do it but wanted to see if it was worth doing. I have an 01 Quad cab and unless I adjust the rear brakes almost daily they don't do much of anything for stopping me. I have Gibson headers and exhaust as well as a K&N FIPK kit on it. I'm sure that doesn't help the brakes much. Any feedback on the conversion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jim
