Subject: best intake/exhaust combo?

Whats up people! Im just getting into performance, but im guessing an intake exhaust combo is the best way to start. I was thinkin about a gibson dual exit and k/n air intake combo. I dont want it too loud inside, I have an IASCA SQ setup in my truck and dont want to ruin the quality of it. But i do want it sounding pretty mean outside. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What engine do you have? This will help with the air intake suggestion. As for the exhaust Flowmaster sounds the best but may not be the best sound for you. The exhaust will really depend on your taste.
By the way I run an Airaid intake, JBA headers, and Dynomax 3" catback on my 2000 QC V6.

thanks for the response! I got the 5.2 318 engine. Im very new to this, I spent all my money on looking good and sounding good first. Now its time to try race some lightnings! ( i know its probably impossible) or at least not let that dude that smoked me make me look so bad. Thanks!

With you 5.2L you should have plenty of options. Just go with what you feel most comfortable with. Another option may be a shaker hood or a ram air hood. There are lots of companies that offer these hoods. If those don't strike you then just go with the K&N Gen II intake and what ever exhaust you like.
