Message: Sorry guys, not a tech, but what the heck is a "catback"? I want to replace my exhaust to make it all breathe better. Do you leave the stock cat converter and then go to a one-in-tow-out muffler of choice? Just trying to learn and thanks for your help in advance...
OR are you using two catalytic converters?

Message: Only way to learn. Read and ask questions. Catback exhaust is a replacement exhaust for everything behind the catalytic converter. example from http://www.gibsonperformance.com Head tube, muffler, over the axle tube, tail tube and chrome exhaust tip (Other companies maynot offer this) and all the clamps. Generally, this setup fits with all the stock hangers.

Message: Are most of you replacing the converters as well as the mufflers or are you leaving the converter alone and replacing from there? Thanks for your good information.

Message: Harvey, I tried to get to the gibson performance link that you posted, but no go. I too wanted to know whether the cat would be replaced as well or just everything after.

Message: The cat is not replaced with a catback system. Also the cat is not replaced with JBA's catforward system. The cat is usually only replaced if there are extensive engine modifications requiring higher flow. (supercharging, heads, etc.) High flow cats can be bought seperately from most racing supply dealers.

Message: Lesley,
Try again http://www.gibsonperformance.com
or try the links site under parts from dodgedakotas.com. Mark is correct. Everything behind the cat is replaced and not the cat. I hope that helps.
