1996 Dodge Dakota 3.9 had very sporadic engine stalling that got more severe over 6 months. At first I thought it was the fuel pump so I replaced it. Then I read the distributor and/or the crank position sensor would cause this problem so I replaced both of those but still had the problem. Finally I contacted a mechanic who suggested it was the engine control module located under the hood of the passenger side fender well. I bought one from AAuto and that solved my issue. For auto V6 part number 79-0762
