Message: ok well i was able to make a few passes the other night and i was happy with the results. my best run was a 16.78 at 80.27 mph with a 2.3 60 ft and a .522 reaction time. the temp was mid-upper 80's. i think with some cooler air i might be able to hit some 16.5's. AND i should have my 3.90's by the end of the week, so i'm hopin for some lower 16's. Yes i know that 16's aren't impressive but consider that my truck is a 95 X-Cab V6 Auto that weighs 4000 pounds. so it's doin perty good, oh and also a few people told me that when i hit second it chirped the tires. needless to say i was VERY happy to know that my V6 auto caught second and ran a 16.7. later ya'll.

P.S. BERND YOU DA MAN. your iat adjuster helped my truck to run consistent despite the heat. i live in South Louisiana so it gets hot and humid down here, but with the iat adjuster at the 12' o clock, it ran like it was alot cooler, It's probably the most cost effective mod i have done yet. (not considering the free stuff i've gotten) just wanted to let ya know that it works good.

Message: Hey Daniel, you going back this Friday night? We supposed to be there (if it don't rain). My son just bought a Y2K Lightening and just put a high compression big bore kit with bigger cams in his Suzuki Bandit. He is racing the bike and I'm racing his Ferd. Since this is a Dakota board I must mention that I will be pulling the Bandit with my Dakota.

Message: Would anyone happen to have the ET's for a 1993 3.9L V-6? I was just wondering. My truck will also hit second gear with no probs, and it's an all stock Automatic with 166,000 miles on it. But it is out of commition right now, someone decided they wanted my stereo more than me and broke my driver window out. Fixing it within the week.

Message: Hey Daniel_D, what mods have you done to it besides the IAT adjuster? My '98 5-speed V6 RC has never tasted 16 anything, even with the K&N FIPK! -tk

Message: Wayne. i'd like to, i'll have to see how much money i have, i might be getting my 3.90's in fri. we're supposed to be swapping axles at 5:30 fri so if i go it'll be too late to make any passes. unless we finish it in time to make a pass. The mods on my truck include a V8 TB, Open K&N, 180 t'stat, electric fan, underdrive crank pulley, MSD Blaster Coil, Accel 8mm wires, Autolite 3923, 2-chamber flowmaster, IAT adjuster, a gutted cat, 2" rear drop, Roll pan, soft bed cover, and i think that's it. go to http://www.angelfire.com/la3/finedak it has some pics and a full list of mods.

Message: Hey Daniel,
What was the part number for that electric fan? I remember talking to you when you put it on. It's an imperial isn't it? Do you recomend it?

Message: Yeah i got it from auto zone, it's the 16" fan. i dunno why but it seems to overheat when i'm idlingi in very hot weather. not exactly sure why, as long as i'm movong it's fine though, it might not be flowing enough air. but it started doing it only after i put the underdrive pulley on it, might be connected or something. but overall i like it. if i did it again i'd spend more money to get a fan that flows alot more.

Message: Daniel, I tried 2 different fans on mine and had problems with it overheating when I'm pulling my boat on a hot day. Neither worked. Get with me (622-2905) and you can try one of them. If it works, I'll make you a deal on it. I get off this morning @ 05:30 and will be off until Monday morning. No computer at home so give me a phone call. They are both Perma Cool and flow rates are pretty high. Should work on your truck....unless you get into pulling big boats. hehe
