Yepp, 4 Hole injectors is what you want.
The ones right out of a Ford 4.6 19lb injectors.
(do not get larger then 19 lb injectors)

Actually, your fuel mileage should improve and the engine should also run smoother. The New Design 4 hole injector can control the fuel flow better. Even though they can flow more than the stock ones, they'll have less duty cycle and should last longer. Better fuel control = better MPG.

I'm not sure what you mean? That 19lbs has to do with the max flow rate for the injectors which is 19lbs per hour. Which is probably rated at about 80% duty cycle.

oh ok.. and i meant what if i had gotten 22lb
injectors instead of the 19lb suggested what would
the result be? insufficient fuel flow? misfire at
higher rpms?

You would porbably be wasting your money. I am not sure if the stock PCM program could trim the injector pulse enough to compensate for the higher flow rate injector. Starting in '00 DC put 21lb/hr injectors in all the 3.9's and 5.9's. You woould probably waste fuel. Stick with 19lb/hr. Those will support way more horsepower than the 3.9 can roduce. Unless you're going to ad some forced induction.
