Have a 04 quadcab. Want to put synthetic fluids in the rears. Do I need to put the limited slip additive in with say royal Purple gear fluid?

Read the bottle.
If it says additive is included, then no.
If it doesn't say that, then yes.
It's really that simple.
Best additive I've found is Ford's. It's got a smell you never forget, but it's just about the best you can get.

Thanks for the reply Jason. Royal Purple says no additive required so I'm guessing they have an additive in there gear lube.

I use royal purple. It is a good product. It has been a while since i refilled it but i think i put a bottle of the additive in even if it didnt require it.
