Subject: stroker kit hp IP: Logged
Message: I have a stock 360 that i'm porting out the heads on right now. I'm looking to stroke it but of all the kits i find, i cant find any that list the horsepower and torque gains expected on average. Can anyone tell me the expected increase on a stock motor by going with the 408 stroker?

Message: There's way too many variables to even guess at how much horsepower you'll get. Between intake, cam, heads, exhaust, etc.....

Message: thats why i said on a stock motor, no variables except high or low milage
just a ballpark number, 25 horse, 50, 75, 100, 200, etc

Message: Ok, a stock 360 circa about 2003 was rated @ 245hp RWHP. Using that, equals .681 HP per cubic inch. .681 x 408= 277.85RWHP. So I guess roughly a 30HP gain.
But you said you were porting the heads so it won't be exactly stock
