 Subject: Code P0601

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to clear it? According to my info, P0601 is "Control Module Read Only Memory(ROM)"
I need to know what it means, and how to fix it- please.

If the ROM is bad, usually it means a new PCM.
First, clear it and see if it comes back. It's much cheaper than a new unit.
Reset steps:
1. Disconnect battery
2. Turn key to START and hold for about 10 seconds or so.
3. Reconnect battery.
Start it and let it idle. See if the error returns.
