Subject: Dakota Gauges IP: Logged
Message: Is there any way to make the factory gauges from a 93 dakota work without the computer? And with a carb engine.. I have searched all over the internet with no answer. Thanks -Mike.

Message: i dont think they will, the coputer takes info in and sends info to the guagecluster, i dont think you can connect the guages directly to the sensor.
But i had a friend of mine who can weld aluminum to make a copy of the entire guage cluster and installed autometer guages which i connected to the existing harness ( i have a dodge shop manual, great schematincs!) the whole thing just hides behind the dash plastic trim and is held in with only four plilips screws and is acually a flat mount just at a bit of a angle,
easy to fab if you can weld
autometer with a few led's to light up the indicators is a great upgrade i think
