Message: so i know ebay is a horrid place to look for preformance parts, but im broken and bored and looking for stuff to tinker with on the truck, i want more power, but cheap since im broke and not working
theres a chip on ebay that says about 45hp n 15mpg better for like 13bucks shipped, seems impossible, but they offer an unlimited warranty, and will refund it at anytime, no questions asked, for free, and they will return the shipping price as well, so pretty much i can test it out for free
it would be a waste of time if there was something better, any1 know of a good preformance chip, or engine upgrade that i can get for under 50bucks?even if its not a chip
i already got new plugs and an intake, what else will give me more power for cheap?

i never for a second believed it would give me nearly half what it said, i posted it 2 poke fun at it and to possibly test it out then bitch at them when it does nothing

if was just for fun, a cheap thing 2 try out and laugh at, if i decided 2 buy 1 of the turbo or supercharging kits on ebay, then by all means insult me, i would deserve it then

Message: If its not an SCT flash device, its not advancing timing worth a squat... Superchips only adds about 2 degrees overall and I actually pulled a JET chip off a customers truck and got 3 more HP on the dyno. If you have an electric fan, removing the belt driven one is free and worth a few HP right there. You could do a 180 deg. thermostat, however it wont really help anything unless you end up tuning the truck down the road. Honestly, 100%, just save up for an SCT tuner. In the mean time, check out my website and click some links for some reading on the good stuff.

Message: spkdtch2,
I never would have said crappy things like my spammer did using the screenname I've used here for over 6 years.
When you see language, foul posting like that with my screenname on it, you'll know it's the little girl with a BIG problem, who's too small to post his real name, and problem he thinks he has with me.

Message: dont worry, i just ignore it or make fun of it, ive actually been banned from a forum because i got so frustrated with a spammer who did that and i just went ape sh*t because they ended up emailing and sending me IMs on my aol screen name and stuff, no need to apologize, i didnt let it get to me, i leanred my lesson once
no hard feelings tho todd, just a shame people like that are out their pulling that crap and finding it fun
NEP01- ive done other mods like the belt fan and stuff, the only thing im not sure about is the thermostat, im going to get a new 1, but im not sure of is if getting a 160 would have any draw backs over the 180, would getting a lower 1 than 180 do me any harm versus good?

Message: Yeah, the 160 is too cold, its really not good for the engine. The 180 simply helps a little with the temps inside the combustion chamber to help out with detonation issues. Also, I know you said you did plugs, but keep in mind for next time... NGK ZFR7F-11's. They are one step colder than stock. Now, again, the thermostat and plugs are only going to be useful later down the road when you can get an SCT tuner. And trust me, this is the ONLY one worth getting if you are looking for power. It is custom tuned by a dealer such as myself and can be updated through e-mail for any future mods... All the way up to a 2 bar map sensor boosted setup like I am working on now with my 2000 4.7 2wd Dakota. And stuff like changing the electric fan on/off temp for 180 is easy on that. And, by the way, I should ask... What year and engine is your truck? It is a Dakota I assume? 2wd or 4x4?

NEP01-since your a dealer, cut me a deal :) or even better, 1 for free so i can go around and tell all my friends n every1 at the autoshop how amazing it is and boost your business:)
and superchips are kind of something i wanna stay away from, if they advance timing, otherwise im fine, i cant afford unleaded gas as is, going 2 midgrade would kill me
and its a 3.9l v6 auto
i wanna manual, but the truck was a gift, and since i have no money for gas, converting it to a manual is unfortunately out of the question
