 Subject: 4.7L HO manifold

Hi i have a 4.7L 03 grand cherokee and was looking to do the HO cam+manifold upgrade but i read somewhere that the 03's non HO engine has the HO manifold as both the non and HO use the same manifold for that year. Is this correct?

It would be more correct to say the '03 HO uses the regular manifold; a compromise design compared to when the earlier HO and regular 4.7 ran different manifolds. When both regular and HO versions of an engine use the same part, that isn't really an HO part. Some like to pretend, seems to make them feel better thinking they are running an HO part, so we get this misconception - I guess those people are running HO starters and HO lugnuts too.
