Message: I have seen on line a diferent websites about spark plugs and I really don't know wich one is the best and what is the difference
between this three spark plugs, one it has copper, the other has iridium. One burns hotter than the other one. Wich of these spark plugs can it give a better performance for my Dakota99 3.9L Auto... by the way...If the spark plug burns hotter can it damage something on the engine?
thanks guys!...

Message: Hiya
Here's the scoop on plugs.
Iridium are really pricey and are longer wearing
than average plugs, but platinum will give you better bang for your buck and not be as pricey, but a little more costly than standard plugs.
Reg approx $4, Platinum $6-$10, Iridium $$$15-20
Getting more sparks for you will only come with a
better ignition system, but if I were you
I would look at the NGK G-Power. Around$50-60
for 8 pieces.
Most people look at a more expensive plug for 2 things, long life and better performance.
If you use a hotter running ignition (more current(amps)) there is always the possibility of
welding them into your head because of infrequent
checking/changing.
Hope this helps.

where did you get that line from?
i have been using Bosch reg platinum plugs, one range colder than stock, and they are great. other have used the Bosch +2 & +4 platinums and complained about them. i don't know. next ones i buy are goiing to be the NGK V-power. i think FR-5 is the number.
one thing for sure, no matter what plug you choose run one range colder than stock. especially if you have trouble with pre-detonation, otherwise known as "pinging".

Message: I'm using the Halo's and very happy with them, they are expensive, but my engine runs smoother, and better gas mileage. I think they are worth the price, but you need to get what you can afford and still have a plug that does a good job. I tried the Bosch +2 and they were great for about 1500 miles then started missing, That was when I got the Halo's.
Good Luck
