 Subject: V6 Magum-Performance Exhaust? HELP

Hey guys,
I have a '00 Dakota with the 3.9L Magnum, and I really want to put a new exhaust on it, but some people have told me that the V6 might sound like a vacuum with a new exhaust. I want it to good and give me that extra boost, so please give me some input on wether or not a new exhaust on the V6 Magnum is a good idea. This is what I have laid out right now as what I want on: New performance cat, magnaflow muffler (one in, two out) pipes, and chrome truck tips. Any muffler recommendations highly appreciated as well as any general exhaust input. Thanks alot guys

sounds like a good plan but dont forget to add a nice intake to even things out. i have an 04 SXT with just a flowmaster 40 series on an it sounds good with my homemade intake. only time it sounds like high pitched is higher in the RPM's

Flowmasters are good if you like that sound, hey some do, some don't.
I recently had a flowmaster 50 SUV installed on my 02 QC 4.7 V8. Sounds awesome. I went with the 50 SUV for several reasons. It's louder than stock, not as loud as 40 series and the SUV version has less interior resonance than the Delta 50.
check out the flowmaster website, click on mufflers and look at the graph, it shows the mufflers from loud to quiet.
the suv is the 3rd quietest.

Exhaust seems to be everyone's starting point (which I did as well), If I could re-do the mods to my V6. I would start with
1-Intake
2-Trottle Body
3-Air Intake
4-Headers
5-Cat Back Exhaust
6-1:7.1 Roller Rockers
With Super Chips in there as well,where you could afford it.
The more air in and out the better, but if it's blocked going in, what does going out matter?

I just put magnaflow duals on my 3.9 dak and it sounds
unreal! Very low sound and noticeable power gains. Hope this
helps
