 Subject: 98 5.2L .performance ideas with $2000

I have a 98 dakota 5.2L extended cab. Recently rebuilt the trans (auto) and the motor has approx 120K miles. I started to buy a new truck but decided to put some money into this one since I only drive it about 50 miles per week now. I want to spend less than $2000 into peping it up. Any thoughts and ideas will surely be appreciated. I have headers to put on it now.

I would say a Mopar Performance computer or a reprogrammer, Mopar Perf. single-plane intake, free-flowing exhaust, viper rockers, and a fresh tune-up. This should give your truck a nice boost in power, and you should still be under $2000.

if your up for a challenge and some fun in taking your engine apart. buy a cam (not expensive around $200) and put it in, that would give you tons of power.
lots of work... but not rocket science.

Thanks for the responses. this is just a toy actually for me. I only drive it a couple days a week but really have enjoyed the little trucks get up and go.
