Subject: hypertech programmer for 4.7? IP: Logged
Message: I'm looking at programmers for my 4.7 and I know the options are more limited than for the 5.2 or 5.9. I'm wondering if any knows if the new hypertech max energy programmer will work for the 4.7's. Hypertech's other programmers specified only for the 5.2 and 5.9, but the max energy just says 200-2004 V8 dakotas. Does anyone know?

Message: I don't know.
What I do know, is that before I went with the SuperChips, I waited until someone actually dynoed a gain with it.
I even dynoed mine myself, very objectively, using all three setting on two different grades of gas. (took tow dyno sessions).
The gain for me was minimal, but a gain. a max of 8hp and tq. However, my motor without the superchips out dynoed others max with the superchips.
Tell us what year you have, I'm sure someone will be able to help.
