the stock 50mm is actually 48mm because of the torque step. but yes, if you're looking at an aftermarket TB don't go larger than 48mm on a stock v6.

A torque step is a bump on the inside of the TB that restricts the size slightly. A common mod is to dremmel it out for more flow.

ok so if you buy a throttle body get a 50mm cause it is really or 48mm or just get the 48mm? How much would it cost to get the stock throttle body machined?

if you are buying an "aftermarket"(something manufactured by anybody but Dodge) go 48mm. if you buy a stock(maunfactured by Dodge), just buy a v8 TB and do NOT mod it.
