hello
I have an 87 dakota it had the 3.9 V-6.
I have the 440 and 727 have the engine and tranny built and all I need is the spring rate for the 3.9 once I get that I can have the new coil springs made for the truck and get it on the road. Thanks for any help you can give.
Once i get the truck done I will post pictures
and give a parts list with contact numbers

I would think that the v8 HD springs and shocks would be adequate for the 440.

The big RB block weighs quite a bit more than the 318 that would
have come in there. I think it would be easiest to go with the V8
springs and I don't see anything terrible happening, but a custom
heavier spring would be perfect. I'm sorry, I don't know any specs
on the springs though.

Just drive it like you would a big block '70 Cuda. It's gonna be nose heavy.

Thanks for the help. I'll give the HD V-8 springs a try. if any one has the answer would still like to go that route though.
