Message: depends on the year... genII's and genIII's use the same mounts
from v6 to v8 (except 4.7). genI will take a little bit more work
depending on which motor family you go with.
you should really give a little bit more information, such as the
vehicle getting the work, donor motor information.. etc

Message: Gotta do it the hard way, eh? You'll need to fashion a crossmember to place engine mounts like the '89 Shelby was done. They used Dodge D100 mounts. If it was a Magnum, it'd bolt in with the V6 mounts. You cannot use the V6 and Magnum mounts on pre-Magnum blocks. You must use the only mount points the pre-Magnums have.

Message: yep, that's going to require a little bit of work.
it might be easier to find a magnum motor that will simply just bolt in.. and outperform that 88.

Message: I was considering a swap-1998 5.2 from a Ram into my 1993 3.9/5 speed Dak. How would that swap go? Hate to have to give the $400 to Schumacher for the mounts...

Message: i know it's been awhile, but no, the 2wd will not work for a 4wd. The 4wd motor mounts are incorporated into the front drive axle mounts.
Rare, the motor will bolt in without a hitch, but as said, the tranny probably wouldnt last long if not babied.
