Subject: True Duals? IP: Logged
Message: I put on the Mopar headers and a Flowmaster cat-back a few years ago (just a Y pipe to a single exhaust.) Now a few years later, it looks like the stock cat and pipe I left in are due to be replaced. I'd like to put in true duals, but where would the O2 sensors get mounted if I put in true duals? And does anyone know of a bolt-in that would do this?

Message: I didn't notice any more power, but the sound from the duals is really nice.
I installed my original O2 sensors on one bank only and so far so good after a year or more since I went duals.
It;s a lot of work and I don'e know of any "kit". Especially on the 4WD.

Message: u think if i ran true duals with dumps before the gas tank would it be alright? as in safe? otherwise i could just go with an x pipe then two pipes out the rightside infront of the right rear tire. pretty much like a spintech set up but without the mufflers or cats for that matter just straight pipes.

Message: I hope you don't have emissions testing or strict inspection laws where you live. True duals on the dakota will fail inspection because they are not offered from the factory inmost states. I would check with a local vehicle inspector before I went through the hassle of installing a true dual setup.
