Subject: homemade CRY02 system IP: Logged
Message: I was looking at the CRY02 system and i noticed that it just cools air, so my question is does anyone think that drilling a small hole in my cold air intake tube, and then hooking up a CO2 tank with a small bleeder valve would work, and do you think that it would have any noticeable gain in horsepower?

Message: Oxygen doesn't burn, it supports combustion.
If you're looking for something to add more power in short bursts, nitrous is the way to go. Open up any performance parts catalog and you'll find a variety of set ups. Also try jegs.com or summitracing.com.
For a simple installation, a 75-100hp dry system is probably the best.

Message: I keep trying to tell people that 02 is not flammable. It just feeds the flame, without the 02 it will not burn. The C02 will just smother the burning process.
Finally... a V8. '01 Dodge Dakota RC, 4.7, 5-speed, 3.92 LSD. = R/T Killer. well at least a stock one

Message: There is a reason why people use nitrous instead of other gasses.
CO2 would work great if you sprayed it over top of an intercooler or something like that but why waste your money and time for maybe 20hp when you could be getting extra oxygen and a nice cooling effect from nitrous.
