Message: Whats up guys, been a little while since I last posted. My g/f introduced me to something she has seen advertised for the past month.
I know somebody here knows something about it.
Its like a water conversion for any make or model car. Its "SUPPOSED" to make over 100 mpg, running 80% water 20% gas mixture, with a few add-ons to your specific engine.
Im sure with a beautiful V-8 monster racing machine like a lot of us have, we would enjoy getting upwards of 40 mpg.
An inline-4 could push 100 mpg with such an add-on, a V-6 maybe 50-80 mpg.
The knowledge im looking for =
1) WILL it work?
2) Is it safe for combustion engines?
3) Would doing such a thing, maybe half the life of an engine, because of small rust spots, any water rot on the rubber seals... etc..
www.gasadvance.com
If anyone has any info, thanks :)

Message: I would suppose that with 80% water your vehicle would not run and if it did it would run like crap. Water is not a combustible chemical. That is why we use gasoline, alcohol, ethonol, methonol, and other derivatives of oil.

Message: When you drive a few hundred miles a day, you notice gas mileage. So I emailed. No answer.
My fathers P-38 had water injection. It isn't new. I'd guess that racers, like the government, don't worry that all that extra power destroys the engine after a fairly short time. We, on the other hand......
Guess if it worked and didn't damage the engine, Honda would be using it.

Message: The water injection on the P-38 and other aircraft was for "war
emergency power" (for a very limited amount of time), not
extended fuel mileage.
