Unless your hoppin real bad you would be better off just buying new tires.
You could check out caltracs. I have never used them but I heared a couple of guys a long time ago saying that they were getting .2 off their quarter with them.

Do you have the 9.25" 3.92 rear-end in the rear or what. If you do... I would just get some meatier tires.

I have seen some on a '98 318 5-speed Dakota before. I do not know where he got them, but with the combination of the 2/3 drop it was hanging too low to the ground. Like said, unless you have bad wheel hop I would not worry about traction bars. Just get some meatier tires.

I got mine from the local autozone. They are lakewoods I think. They work surprisingly well for 40 bucks. They took the wheel hop away and it really does hook better.

And this may sound stupid but I had another friend with the exact same year truck as mine (98)5.2, 5 speed tranny 2wd. Around the same miles also. He talked to the previous owner and he said that the truck started spinning both wheels after installation of the traction bars. Like posi trac. His truck would always get sideways (through the gears) and even power braking. Mine hardly ever will. I can recall one time I got her sideways trough second from a dead stop. I have heard from some people that the gears are prone to wearing a certain way on these trucks after a certain amount of miles. Causing them to be somewhat posi track?? Is there any truth to this? And sorry for the long post!

Get some $19.95 helper springs form somewhere like autozone, pep boys, etc.

Mount them in front of the axle, not behind like the instructions say- no more wheel hop.

WTF is 'brake torqueing', oh, I read about that somewhere- it's an auto tranny thing!

Well, that is just like "brake-boosting" on turbo applications. I had never heard of that until the other day.
