So as of right now I am planning on installing some Comp Cams 1.7RR's and a Hughes Engines stage one intake. I would do an M1 but I live in California and M1's aren't street legal here. This will be put onto a 1997, club cab, auto, 5.2L that already has Edelbrock Headers, F&B 50mm throttle body, Hypertech programmer, MSD ignition, FMS 19 pound injectors, K&N FIPK2, removed stock fan running an electric on now, all fluids synthetic, a shift kit in the tranny and 4.10's out back on 32 inch tires. How do the next mods sound? This is mostly a daily driver seeing occasional drag racing and offroad racing.

Don't you think it would be cheaper to find someone to port your stock manifold instead of paying $460 or whatever, plus a core deposit?

I would be cheaper if the speed shops in my area had cheaper labor rates and if I knew anyone who knew how to do porting well. Other than the cost of the manifold does that sound like a good addition to what I already have?
