Subject: Spark Plugs IP: Logged
Message: What type of spark plugs seem to work the best in the 3.9L? I have used Bosh platinums and found that they turn white in no time at all. From what I know, white means they are getting too hot. The only type that seem to not turn white are the basic copper champion plugs. There must be something better on the market than the copper champions that are rated for "higher temperatures" and wont turn white.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

Message: Run the Champions. That's what Chrysler engineered their engines to run on.

Message: Hey kj ...... do you really think Chrysler picked a spark plug to use and then engineered their engines around it ? They use champions because they are the cheapest bulk plug supplier .... have run NGK for a very long time now and I haven't had a problem ... and check with KRC.. Marty has been using them for a long time too....
