Here is a compilation of the assorted video clips I took while we were experimenting and tuning the turbo on rammer's 318 Dodge Ram.

Including when it blew the head gaskstes and smoke came out of the exhaust!

I started making some new video compilations and this one turned out pretty cool :)

It's hosted on youtube ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPIs129pA6Y

LOL I've seen that video before.

Looks like you sometimes lack a second person to hold the camera outside. That's what my daughter is for :P

That video I posted is one of my favorites. It was several clips from a few days or weekends of messing with his truck and we were lucky to be rolling the video when it blew those original stock head gaskets. And then a friend happens by when we were dead on the road and the camera is running then too!
Looked like we PLANNED all of that action but it was all just by chance.
Then the video ends with us waxing some Acura sh*t box a few times at the race track after we replaced the head gaskets :)

That was pretty cool catching the head gasket blow on camera! As soon as I get another exhaust cutout you can count on another video being made to compare it to my Magnaflow!

LOL yeah.

SInce youtube makes it so much easier to store and share vs uploading to my own webpage, I've been going back through some videos and will add more.

I like the movie maker in the latest NERO edition. It has some cool effects and it edits and converts the new movie pretty darn quick!

I need to buy a video camera to bring with me in the truck so I can make movies whenever I feel like it instead of borrowing one from my mother like I've been doing.
I'm going to try to order a set of rear mudflaps and the cutout from Summit Monday.
Basically I want to have the cutout installed by this Friday, since that's the last day the shop is open during my week vacation.

Well most of the videos from the last few years were made with a fairly expensive (at the time) Digital Video Camera that uses digital tape. It DOES do pretty much above DVD quality which I just have to compress down anyway.

Some of the new basic digital camera's such as a Kodak that you can buy for like $150 has a built in mic for video recording as well. I used the new one I bought for the wife and slapped in a 1 Gig Media Card and it's amazingly good video and ok sound although it's mono unlike the expensive one I have. But for internet stuff those work just fine. Anyway, NovaDak I'd say just go get a digital camera. It will be smaller, no moving parts, and cheaper.

I just found (in my closet) a Sony digital video camera, that records onto both a tape or a memory stick, so I'm going to try using it with a 2 gig memory stick I have. I forgot I even had this camera I think it's less than 2 years old too.

I'll try making a video of the truck when it gets back from the body shop next week to use as a comparison for when I get another cutout ;)

If it's like our Cannon video camera, it uses the tape to take DIGITAL VIDEO. The Memory Stick is ONLY for still photos.

You will probably need to have the tape to take video. :p

Nope! not wih this one!...surprised me too!
I tried making two videos of random stuff in my house. One on the tape, and one on the memory stick.
I uploaded the video from the memory stick onto my computer and it's a .mpg format if I remember correctly.
I think I could also record onto the tape and then move it to my computer. I've done that with the Macs at my school using a firewire (and their cameras).
The videos I've posted before were taken with a Nikon digital camera, (same camera I use for still pics)which is why the sound isn't the best. It's made for still shots, but also makes video.

Maybe if I get some extra time this week I'll make a video of my brothers car (that is, if I don't get my truck back from the body shop soon!
BTW I drove by the shop yesterday while they were closed, saw the truck in their back lot, fender was primered and the bumper/bull bar was removed so it looks like they're making good progress on the repairs. I should have it back mid to late next week. (Or I guess it's now this week...:)

Yup our Cannon Digital Video Camera plugs into the PC with a FireWire cable. The PC controls it from there.

The Kodak Digital Camera saves as the communist Apple QuickTime. MOV format.

The nice thing about the new Nero Burning Rom software is that the Movie Maker it has works with mpg, AVI, or MOV formats and works quickly. Since the Kodak just records to the media Card I simply pull it out and slide into the front of my PC with the media card socket. Transfer the video over and make a movie. It only takes a few minutes. The sound is not stereo on the little Kodak, but damn it's not distorting at all even being close to the exhaust and all!

Go to youtube, enter my username "paysonbadboy" into the search thingie and check out all of my videos I have been making lately. I just made 2 or 3 more videos today!

Cool...I'll check out those vids.

The Nikon digital camera I have doesn't have stereo either, and it also records in quicktime .mov format. I use a photo editor program that came on our HP computer (media center edition of windows XP) that can open .mov and save it as a .wmv, which I can then open in movie maker. The Sony Handicam I'm going to use today for a new truck video records in .mpg format when recording on the memory stick. I don't know what it saves the video as if I transfer the video from the tape to the PC 'cause I've never done it yet.
