I haven't come across anyone with anything good to say about these regarding 4.7L engines. Any gains are quickly circumvented by the PCM as it relearns its way around the Jet Chip. Sadly temporary...

Message: Magnaflow makes different inlet/exit diameter y-pipes. Mine cost about $35. The muffler shop that does my Dak changed the primary pipes before the Y to 2 1/2", and I also had a Carsound 3" hiflow catalytic converter installed after the Y. I guessing the y-pipe installed alone for about $75. Check some shops in your area. The y-pipes are on Magnaflows website under accessories. If all the emissions equipment (O2 sensors, cat. converter) are intact, it shouldn't void the warranty.

Message: louis,
Have you dynoed any before and after runs on your mods?
YOur
Air Raid intake may have gotten you 1-2HP/TQ pk power gains.
A jet chip on a 4.7?
Dyno that one, better keep the receipt for the Jet chip.

Message: Hey that 2006 y-pipe might not be the CRUSHED type so many have described and showed on the previous years!
On my 2003 I looked at mine when I cut it off for the duals.
It was actually a descent Y-Pipe. NOTHING like the other Y-Pipes people here showed with the crushed connection.
Here are picture of my stock y-pipe.

Message: Nice y-pipe pic, GraphiteDak, (0172 wouldn't pull up). The y-pipe on my '01 had a single divider in the center, and roughly 1 1/2" interior diameter on each side. I agree, it does look like a blacksmith vs. machine shop comparison. Dr. Z influence? :)
