 Subject: cheap idea for air box

i have a 4.7 i took the curved plastic pipe off the front of the air box and cut the hole a little bigger. the air flow is right through the front grill to the box i dont have any plastic shield. just the ac pipes block it a bit other wise a direct shot to the box. my truck seems to have a bit more pep. waiting for k&n air kit for the 4.7. i also just put in the autolites 3923 last night can't wait to go for a ride today i will let ya all know.

Do tell us about the difference with the autolites. I just ordered some and am anxious to find out if they were worth ordering.
