Unless you live in a Communist state like California...

Message: In some states, it could be a problem if it's too loud.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: The one thing you will notice as time rolls on is the exhaust will get louder as the fiber glass burns out. this can cause a lot of cab rumble. Myself, I prefer a fiber glass muffler mostly after they been on about 20,000 or so. That's when they sound the best. I replace mine when it burns out inside. Usually pushing 3 years.

Message: If you want glasspacks cheap, go to Surplus City (or any all-u-can-get hardware store); they are around $15 dollars for 2.5" inlet glasspacks. Pretty loud though, but that's how I like it.

Message: Having a muffler dosen't have anything to do with emissions. But it is part of the vehicle inspection. As long as you have some type of muffler you shouldn't have a problem. This is NC law.I use to do NC state vehicle inspections.

Message: So Texas goes by North Carolina law ? I would have thought Texas would have their own laws.
Maybe I jumped to a conclusion there - I guess NC could also stand for "no clue" !

Message: Hey hey hey now wait a minute. I like living in California thank you!
lol. Honestly, the sound of my 213,000 mile 5.2 stock mufler
sounds pretty cool already. It's gotten deeper with that older V8
sound that I like. Probably not a too healthy sound, but it hasn't
given me any trouble thus far. I would like to get a nice muffler
though. Not too loud, not too muffled... I want the stock sound it
has now... just... more of it. lol. I can't explain it. Like deep rumble
with a medium intensity of sound.
