so one of my buddies just got a 2007 4 door 2 wheel drive hemi on 20's and he thinks its the fastest thing on the streets! he was saying that no one wants to race him so i said lets go and he said is your truck even fast and i was like no but im pretty sure i could beat you. i have a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab 4x4 4.7 with flowmaster exhaust and a K and K intake. what do yall think the outcome would be??

If you had the club cab or the Reg Cab yes...quad no. But that's just an opinion.

Whats his rear gears. If those are aftermarket 20s then this gears are gonna make that thing a slug. If they came stock then hes got 3.92s and he might beat ya. But hey, you got a 4x4. Ask him to race ya offroad LOL.

Yeah my 4X4 QC is really close to them Hemi 2WD. They barely beat me in the 1/4
Maybe with the other wheels and him being a QC you would win.
If you had a 2WD 4.7 you would SMOKE that Hemi Ram.
Take it to the track :) If he don't have a programmer (like MOST Hemi owners have) then he will be a little slow off of the start.

i still haven't been able to race any hemi rams
with my dakota or my diesel
i know it wouldn't even be funny with the diesel if i turn the Edge up to like 3 or 4
i know i can SMOKE my little brother 2000 360 1/2 ton ram with my 3500, i passed hime once with it on level 4 and he in no way shape or form could keep up
the dakota has a tough time passing him
the dakota is a closer call, i beat him off the line, but like 100 up hes got be because the speedo is off and it cuts me off at like 105 and hes got my old superchips off my
i just wanna race one once to see the look on their faces, a daytona ram or one of them fancy ones would be fun to trounce

I havent raced one either but I have seen alot of slips. They never really want to race for some reason. You would think that the rummble bees and the like would be all for racing.

well his truck came from the factory with 20's so maybe he could take me with the larger gear ratio but his governs out at 105 and mine at 115 so all i have to do is get him on a long straight away and he's done! he also has that mds stuff so while his truck is trying to open all 8 cylinders i would be pulling ahead on him HAHA

hate to tell ya this but MDS only works when your in a "lean cruise mode" I dont know exactly how long it takes on the hemi for the cylinders to shut off but once you accelerate they are back on in milliseconds. Only downside to MDS is that your stuck with using peanut cams because of the lifters.

i think it engages and disengages in like 4 milliseconds
