hmmm it may flow more, who knows but it won't do you any good on a stock engine, now if you had a cam better flowing heads throttle body etc etc then maybe. but I think the M1 is all you need on these trucks, unless ur building a race car...

I believe it is a better street intake than the M1.
It is the modified stocker correct?

Hey, about the M1... It is a direct replacment for the stock intake manifold on a 2001 R/T 5.9?? When I look at the details about it at summit it says its for an aftermarket block ( pn#5007381) And my throttle body and space will bolt right up to the m1 correct?? Sorry to change the subject of the thread a little but Im new to 5.9's... Just bought mine a week ago...

The M1-2bbl intake manifold is a direct bolt-on for the 5.9L motor, requires no modifications to the throttle body (50mm-53mm) or fuel rails. You will need the Mopar M1 installation kit and a new set of intake manifold gaskets, and you might as well get a 180-degree thermostat & new gasket since you have to pop off the upper radiator hose anyways.

Well at summit it refers to the m1 by mopar as a dual plane, square bore flange intake for the 5.9, nothing about 2bbl which I thought has to do with if you want to run a carb?? I dont know, just trying to understand better.. Also the m1 install kit says its only for the single plane.. Do I still need the kit for the dual plane??
