if anyone is interested, i have the 3.92 gears that came out of my r/t dakota. they only have about 25,000 miles on them. All u need for them to work is the install kit. these are for the 9.25 axle. asking $40.00 plus shipping

i wanna get some new gears for my truck but not sure what i need. i've got 32" bfg's and they killed my gearing. is the dakota axle the same on all models or is the r/t different?

if i do it through the post office its gonna be $36 for 4-6 weeks and $70 for 4-10 days and it goes up from there.

Mike - R/T has 3.92 and may or may not be the same as other trucks depending on how they are optioned, not otherwise depending on model. 3.92 gears could be chosen as an option.

as long as u have the 9.25 axle, then it will work because thats the axle r/t comes with. so u got the shipping prices so lemme know if ur interested. keep in mind u will still need to get an install kit. normally gears go for around 250 bucks and install kits are around 100 bucks. and if ur truck is 4x4 u will need gears for the front axle too.

mikesz - Like Joey says, they'll fit; but you'd need the same ratio gears for the front if you want to be able to use 4x4.
