Message: You need to take a measurement of the diameter of the inlet pipe (where it goes INTO the cat) and the outlet pipe (where it comes OUT of the cat). It will probably be either 2.5" or 3". Then, any exhaust place will be able to cut you a piece of pipe to whatever length you need (the lenght of your cat). They can also weld on some flanges for you if that is what you are trying to do.
I doubt they will do much of the welding for you or any measurements. They are up against a huge fine for even TOUCHING an exhaust that has been tampered with. You can probably expect to do most of the work yourself. I can say for sure that when you tell them you need a 12" piece of 3" pipe with flanges on the front and rear, they will know what you are doing and will probably do it right the first time, as yours wont be the first time for them!

Message: Be carefull about replacing a CAT with just a piece of pipe.... you PCM isnt going to like it and you will get a check engine light. i think that there is a box you connect to the O2 sensor to correct it... but i dont know..

Message: I have a 94 5.2 with no oxygen sensor. I think only vehicles with o2 sensors behind the converter will trigger a check engine light.

Message: Todd,
I think you mean by 'disable', you mean getting around throwing a MIL light, right?
There are O2 box simulators on the market. People have also posted part #'s for resisters, for do it yourself. Look more into the search feature, and you'll find it.
