Subject: milled heads IP: Logged
Message: anyone know how much to mill the heads on a 3.9l v6 to get optimal performance? need to push over 300 hp. im in the high 200's now.

Message: maybe a few more particulars on you motor. are you talking 200/300rwhp or at the crank? if at the wheels you'll be hard pressed to get that NA or without a stroker crank.
personally i'd go with pop-up pistons instead of milling the heads. mill the heads to much and you may have problems getting the intake to fit properly.

.020 or .030
Im leaning towards .020 I cant remember what Larry said
1993 Dakota CC 3.9 auto (Rebuilt engine, 19 lb. injectors, ignition & wires, 4.10 gears, LSD, exhaust, intake, lowered 5/5, rear anti-sway bar)
