For those of you that don't like Amsoil don't pick on Steve. He has every right to advertise here since he helps to sponsors this site. If I didn't already have an Amsoil sponsor I would consider Steve. I already have a very good and reputable sponsor in Washington State- Leonard Pearson. He has been at the tops in Amsoil sales for many years and continues to be without really pushing his product. Amsoil has been in the Sythetic Oil business far longer than anyone eles. They have an excellent product line and continue to develop new products and refine the ones they have. There- I have made my pitch for Amsoil, because I am satified user of the product. If you don't like it the tough cookies.

I have to agree. Steve has the right to be in these forums without question. For those that already read what he is bringing up just pass over it but be carefull doing that Steve puts some great info in his posts and these posts are need to keep new readers posted. Myself, I have no amsoil sponsor. I do have amsoil in all my drive train (4x4) but not the engine. I run Mobil 1 EP in it (5.2 engine) I only drive about 7,500 miles a year so I change once a year using Mobil 1 EP. I feel one year is long enough to run a change so Amsoil would be a waist in my mind. We had a transmission repair shop that was a top of the line repair business and they used amsoil . They done the change for me including a trany flush. He sold this shop so now I have to get a new sorse when the time comes. That won't be any time soon.
So many problems .... So little time

I use Amsoil and I am happy with the results. I switched after reading many helpful posts on this site by Steve including how to change gear lube and trany fluids. My Dak runs quieter, cooler and I swear I get better mpg. I feel good knowing that I have the extra protection under the hood, etc.
Also, my cost for Amsoil 5w-30 is less than Mobil1 EP.

For all you people knocking Amsoil, have you ever used it? I don't say anything good about it. I don't say anything bad about it. I have never used it, therefore, I have no right to form an opinion on it.

It's not like people are FORCED to read each and every post. If you don't want to READ about something, just skip that post!
You KNOW what the post is about from Steve's descriptions and that he is a registered member/supporter.
The good thing about having him around is that if I ever have a question about finding an oil for a quad, or another vehicle, etc he is always around to answer and usually within 24 hours if not within an hour.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I have following all the mods you have made to your truck. I have a 92 4x4 318, it has about a 115,000 miles now. Still alot of good life left to it. But if i decide to get a newer 4x4, i know who I will be turning to for advise with all that you have done to your truck. Thanks,

Steve, you know I'm not the biggest amsoil fan but I certainly defend your right to be a sponser of this site and peddle your product in a reasonable manner. You do a good job and there is some valuble information in your posts for everyone whether they use amsoil or not.

To bad you don't like Assoil, it a great product. I glad shaddow got 500,000 miles out of Dak. Maybe you and Shadow should get together and discuss your differences. Then you can have a harmonic convergence and have a group hug and sing Koombya. May you could start a new A.A., Amsoil Anonymous and come up with a new 12 step program. You would need a higher power, then you tell everyone in a group therapy session that you have been Amsoil free for 6 months, I'm Free, I'm Free.

12 clean posts before we get to one from "frucky" that is childish. That's certainly better than the norm and much better than I anticipated or expected given the history of this site. By now we would usually have many children flaming a site advertiser.
"frucky" thinks he is funny _ but hides behind an anonymous name. What good is it to post if nobody knows who the author is? How do you get to reap the glory of your childish behavior? Oh, I know __ "frucky" will tell his friends on the kindergarden playground and they will laugh.
Question for "frucky", What happens when you run off all the site advertisers and there is no site for you to graffiti? Your nonsense posts are similar to graffiti which is evidence of a neighborhood's decline (and the decline of this website) and is usually done by the lesser intellegent school dropouts that become a dreg of society.
Two years ago I did a site popularity check for this site and it was off the chart. Now _ so many people have stopped coming here that this site barely registers.
Thanks "frucky" (and all your type) for ruining a good site and running everyone off. Good thing you posted without being a registered member because if we knew where you lived we might come deflate your tires if nothing worse.

Thanks to tfisher for pointing out a few things I have to chime in. First, I AM NOT frucky! Just have to clarify before some dumba$$ starts in on it.

The real decline of this website started when the advertisers got too carried away. While we are on this subject, why is it that ALL the other dakota sites have no problems of this nature and yet it's still free? Maybe your higher "intelligents" knows something that I have been missing.

Do you know what I find sad? We all apparently HAVE to attack or
prove ourselves to each other, either by shooting someone down or
by making the other feel stupid. I'm not saying I don't do it,
because I know I do at times. I am kinda doing it right now. Even
though I usually come here to ask questions that I have been
wondering about my truck. But in order to stop some "myspace
drama" I think we should think about what we say before we say it.
