2000 Sport v-6. stock except for Autolite 3923 plugs, and Stant 180-degree thermostat. 19 mpg highway is pretty standard. still has a rough idle when very cold, or not run for a few days.

airaid intake,
stant 180 thermostat,
magnaflow bullet 2.5"-4"-2.5" muffler
inplace of stock route( unbelivable top end gain)lost some low end though.
best time of 16.9 at 82mph
still got a ways to go!
oh and horrible gas milage(lead foot)

Just found this site!
Been in a '96 3.9 Sport for about a year.
Love my truck! It's almost paid for, then I can start with the mods! Hope I can learn best for least $$ here. TB, Flows, tires & different differential are on the list. Just got some Splitfires, but it sounds like I should have got the 3923's everyone is talking about!

98SPRTV6, can you explain how great the traction bars are? I have a set, ready to be returned, and would like your input.
Lesley, where did you take your truck? I took mine to American Service Center (probably not in Canada) when my upper ball jonts were out, and they found "aftermarket" replacement ball joints instead of replacing the "entire upper suspension arm with joint" as they said was necessary with Mopar parts. This one has a grease fitting, so I keep it lubed and have decided to change my own darned oil since the place I took it to didn't lube them.

BTW - American Serice Station charged me >$550 to swap upper ball joints in case anyone else needs 'em. They then bent me over concerning a simple radiator flush, and I havent' returned to them since; rather do it myself and know it's done right. They quoted me $70 ($10 less than dealer) to flush, and charged me $110 in spite of my protests. Swithced to a 180 degree thermo with a friend therafter, and discovered they hadn't even filled the radiator. Bastards. Probably varies by location. Important point is that, somewhere, there is a replacement for our upper ball joints that isnt' sealed. I know this because I've lubed my new ones.

Put it this way before the traction bars I use to lose to a friend of mine with a full-size ram with a 360 by 3, then I put the traction bars on an I stayed right next to him because I could launch a lot harder!!

I went to a place called the "Alignment Centre" they're pretty cool, know a lot of racing guys. A friend's husband drag races, he told me about them.
