Message: I have two questions. I'll ask the torque one first. I have a 2001 QC 4x4 4.7 and not a lot of torque. I've put on a cold air intake with K&N and a flowmaster 40 series with custum cat back 2 1/2" duals out the back. She screams like a banshee and makes great high end horsepower but i don't have much torque. There's a hole until about 2500 rpm and it won't even break loose with 3.55 gears and little 245/75/16 BFG all terrains. I'm wondering what the best course of action is? I've thought about gears but because i gotta do front and back (4x4) it's a little pricey. I've been told to do cams but won't cams mainly help high end and do nothing for the low? What's the best way to get my torque?
My next question is about a 3" lift. I gotta buddy that can mill me blocks for the back (ya, i'm a cheater), and i'm wondering if just tightening the torsion bars in the front will work? Is it gonna stiffen up my ride? Also, besides an alignment maybe, is it gonna screw stuff up like needing new shocks or anything? Any help on both topics would be muchly appreciated.

Message: Superchips 3715 and KRC 206 cams. The combo with your intake and exaust will put you back in your seat, and your tires will break so often you'll get annoyed> But they're not cheap?
03 4.7 4x4 cc auto, airaid intake and tbspacer? Dynomax ultraflow single too dual, superchips 3715, KRC 206 cams.

Message: You might see close to 2" with the torsion bars - ride will be a bit stiffer. The factory HO cams will give torque gains across the whole rev range. Another option for your year is a custom PCM flash, I went with the Mike Leach flash. Most 4.7's respond well to more ignition advance.

Message: I'm wondering about a custom PCM flash for my truck. Kowalski mentioned a Mike Leach flash that works good for the 4.7's. Kowalski, if your reading this, where would i get this and roughly how much is it (i'm in canada)?

Message: It was a few hundred US$ when I did it a few years ago; had to send PCM to California. I no longer have the contact info, but someone found it through this site in the past few months I think. You might find the info with a search. The flashes were more popular before Superchips came out, most seem satisfied with that now. Not sure which way gives more spark advance; but I suspect the flash might as I've seen hard #s for the spark advance on that, but not on the Superchip.
