Alright ive got a the 360 blocked arleady bored with the stroker crank in. Now im looking at the valve train and heads. Im understanding that with a stroke it might be nescasry to port the heads to get maximum lift. I want to know whats the wildest i can go a cam and valve lift, while still keeping it semi-streetable. What type of heads will be best for this? Is it still possible to make this build-up efi or do i have to keep it carbed?

is this a magnum block? if it is, yeah its very easy to keep efi. KRC performance builds them all the time like that and just reflashes the computer and puts bigger injectors, bigger throttle body, and the mopar M1 manifold on it. Check out KRCperformance.com they should have some listings of what they use when they build them.

yes, you have to bore it... it wouldnt be a 408 kit if you left it with 360ci...

Helsmire, if it was carbed to begin with I *THINK* you may have to leave it carbed... not sure... what year block is it? 1993+ is the magnum build.

I have heard that the best heads (This is for the magnum blocks now...)... the best heads to use are the R/T heads but they are fairly expensive... I think the best are the 2.02 (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

i got out of a junk yard. It was pulled from a 97 ram. I just learned that edlebrock makes an efi kit but its UNGODLY expensive. Btw Krc wasnt very helpful imho. It didnt give a very good description for use.

Ok, I'm still learning but doesnt efi mean Electronic Fuel Injection? if so, the 97 ram should already be equipted, right? That's what I thought anyway...someone else want to help out here?

Yes youre correct efi is short for electronic fuel injection. It DOES come equiped but i doubt the stock manifold and injectors will have anywhere NEAR the amount of flow i will need for my application. Im trying to put as much power as earthly possible while still keeping it semi-streetable. Will the m-1 bolt up to the R/T heads? is my next question

yes the M1 will bolt up to R/T heads. but you need to give KRC a call. you will need bigger injectors and throttle body, but if you call KRC performance, they can help you. Even if you don't want to buy it from them you can always pretend you are going to and get the info you need. You will also need a custom PCM flash when tuning, they are good at that too, but if they are too far away from you then thats not really a good option. But give them a call though.
